Awful service. Wish I could give them a negative rating.I've always had issues with DPD at my address. I rescheduled as it was due friday when I knew no-one was in, redirected it to my home address where I ensured someone was in to sign for it. Waiting for the delivery and I get an email saying 'sorry we missed you' and a picture of number 12. I live at number 9. I drove to your depot after spending an hour on hold with your complaints department and complained in person, the assistant manager on duty informed me it's likely that the driver 'Looked at her handheld unit and just blindly followed it without checking' he also told me they don't hire based on delivery proficiency but merely driving ability. I tried explaining how much of a terrible business practice it is when your prime function is to deliver to an address when your employees don't actually check the address when they arrive. There should be a check in place to check they're actually reading the address. Louise (the driver) made the excuse of 'I saw 67 on the box but couldn't find it so went to 12' which is a rubbish excuse as the 67 was scrawled in pen, nowhere near the actual address which CLEARLY SAID '9'. I've always had issues with DPD and always know I'll have a problem. I even said to myself when I first found out that my parcel was being delivered by DPD that I KNEW I'd have an issue. I can understand human error but when this is the 4/5th issue at the same address I can't let it stand. Please ensure your drivers actually READ THE ADDRESS and not focus on their screens..I took a day off work for this and you guys messed it up again. Time I can't get back

Atrocious experience with the Southampton branch. Needed a parcel for a gift on Sunday and the parcel arrived at the depot on Friday. I received a text telling me the parcel would arrive in the morning, sat in all day waiting for it and no-one even knocked the door. However, a calling card was placed in the letterbox saying no one was in! After driving an hour round trip to pick up the parcel the next day, upon arriving at the depot and telling the 'manager' that the delivery driver never knocked the door, I was informed that 'a lot of our drivers do that'?? Seriously.. what sort of delivery company makes no effort to actually deliver. I then asked if I could pick it up there and then and she said that there were a lot of parcels in a big cage and since there were only two people working, she couldn't (be bothered) to give me the parcel I needed the next day. Furthermore, after promising that it would indeed be delivered on Sunday (just in time), I heard nothing and am yet to receive the parcel. Absolute joke of a service. Maybe invest a bit of money in training your staff to do their job and not be so useless.

100% unhelpful, failed to deliver after giving a time then when went to Hedge End Depot the one guy helping was helpful but a colleague hiding round the corner was very rude with very bad language.Unfortunately ones stuck with what ever delivery company supplier uses but if you look at reviews DPD dont score well at all. Go Yodel never had a problem.

Very good service. You don't need to wait . Just pick up or drop off your packet .Excellent service DPD

Awful service; misses your appointment slots, does not recognise your parcel number when you call on the automatic-computer manned phone lines, poor online support service, "online" chat team operated by computer 'bots' and when you re-book for a delivery, they have a "computer error" meaning you waste a day sat at home waiting for nothing, as they didn't put it out for delivery. Plus, when you eventually get through to a human customer services person (which can take ages), you get an automatic message from the "Director of Customer Services" asking you to "speak nicely to our staff" - reflective of consistent poor service...I think so!? So, my message to the Director of Customer Services is "...fed up with staff complaining that customers are rude to them - when how about providing an excellent service instead...maybe take half your salary, which is say 75k a year and make a Director of Excellent Service! I would never use DPD. For some reason, Amazon Prime have it to a T, they get is right 100% of the time - maybe you could learn a thing of two from Amazon.
