Friendly staff, good music and reasonable priced drinks
Liked the outside heating. kept me warm whilst sipping my cold pint. Enjoyed watching the bloke with the beer hat on his head watching the darts while his lab sat there unimpressed
A great local pub with delicious food at reasonable prices. Looking very Christmassy at the moment and extremely busy with group bookings. Check out the large shabby, shabby chic room to the left of the bar. Lots of atmosphere some of which is attributable to the characterful locals. Love it. Very efficient and helpful staff too.
Majorly let down by the barley corn tonight! Miserable and rude staff behind the bar, they didnt have a clue what they were doing, to then have the landlord getting in my face after telling my wife to keep her gob shut for saying she thought it was meant to be service with a smile! Defiantly will not miss it if this is what it has turned into!
I am absolutely disgusted with the staff at the barley corn, weve been going there for years, went in tonight for a drink, staff were majorly rude and didnt have a clue what they were doing! I simply said I thought it was meant to be service with a smile to then have the landlord and a member of staff behind the bar telling me to keep me gob shut! The woman behind the bar was extremely rude and the younger one could not have been more miserable! Shame how much its changed.
